Active lime is widely used in iron and steel, alumina, metal magnesium, calcium carbide and power plant desulfurization paper industry. Active lime is an important auxiliary raw material for steel making. The use of active lime has a series of characteristics such as improving molten steel quality, increasing production, reducing steel making consumption and cost, and stabilizing operation. Practice has proved that all enterprises that use active lime to make steel have achieved significant economic benefits. In the past ten years, the output of steel-making lime in my country has increased by 40%, but the high-grade lime with an activity of more than 300ml has increased from 27% of the total steel-making lime to 29.5%, an increase of only 2.5%. Turui machinery manufactures a complete set of equipment for active lime production line with a daily output from 50-1500tons. According to customer requirements, it undertakes the process design of the three main equipment of rotary kiln, vertical preheater and vertical cooler and electrical control system, and supplies supporting refractory materials.
The limestone is heated to about 900 degrees Celsius by the kiln exhaust gas at 1150 degrees Celsius in the preheater, and is pushed into the rotary kiln by the hydraulic push rods. The limestone is decomposed into CaO and CO2 by roasting in the rotary kiln. After decomposing, the limestone will enter the cooler and be cooled to below 100 degrees Celsius by the blown cold air in the cooler. The hot air at 600 degrees Celsius after heat exchange enters the kiln and is mixed with gas for combustion. The exhaust gas is mixed with cold air and enters the bag filter through the draft fan, and is discharged into the chimney through the exhaust fan. The limestone discharged from the cooler is sent to the limestone storage by vibrating feeder, chain bucket conveyor, bucket elevator and belt conveyor.
Vertical preheater, vertical cooler and lime rotary kiln are main equipments for producing active lime, our company has introduced these equipment by adopting foreign advanced technology. Active lime production line has the following technical characteristics:
1. The structure is advanced, and the vertical preheater can effectively improve the preheating effect. The decomposition rate of the preheated limestone into the kiln can reach 20-25%, and the 10-15mm fine-grained limestone can be directly used.
2. The two ends of the rotary kiln are sealed with combined scales, and the air leakage coefficient is less than 10%, which reduces the loss of radiant heat.
3. For circular or square vertical coolers, the lime temperature out from the cooler is 60℃ + ambient temperature, which is convenient for transportation and storage, and the secondary air entering the kiln can be preheated to above 700℃, reducing moving parts and special materials.
In order to improve lime capacity and activity, the following measures should be taken Environmental protection: the flue gas discharged from the vertical preheater has a low temperature and low dust content, which makes the configuration of the subsequent exhaust gas treatment simple and meets the environmental protection requirements.
In terms of lime activity: the rotary kiln is an open calciner, the kiln body has a simple structure, and the air flow is smooth.
In terms of energy saving: the vertical preheater can make full use of the high temperature exhaust gas generated by burner in the rotary kiln, which greatly increases the output of the rotary kiln, but also fully reduce the heat consumption per unit product
The main equipment of active lime production line includes: crusher, belt conveyor, vibrating screen, pre-heater, rotary kiln, vertical cooler, bucket elevator, storage silo, dust collector etc.
