This calcination system has a higher degree of automation and higher production efficiency.
The dolomite calcination kiln is a special rotary kiln developed as per the calcination characteristics of dolomite and the technological requirements of Pidgeon method. It is the key equipment of the dolomite calcination system. The calcined dolomite has characteristics of stable and uniform quality, high activity and low ignition loss, fully meeting the technical requirements of Pidgeon method for magnesium refining, therefore, the extraction rate of magnesium and the utilization rate of silicon are relatively high, and the production cost of metal magnesium is reduced. It is the ideal equipment for calcining dolomite in the magnesium industry.
Dolomite calcination kiln is a high-quality equipment, and many high-tech and new processes are incorporated in the development process, so it has a high technological content compared to traditional equipment, overcoming the shortcomings of traditional equipment, such as difficult temperature control, unstable product quality, large energy consumption, serious environmental pollution and low thermal efficiency. It has the advantages of advanced technology, simple operation, smaller volume.
It mainly includes: kiln head, kiln tail, sealing device, supporting roller assembly, support parts, rotary cylinder, nozzle parts, thrust roller assembly, etc.
There are mainly six processing procedures for calcining dolomite:
1. Screening and washing process: it mainly ensure that the dolomite is qualified and free of silt and dust.
2. Kiln tail feeding process of dolomite clcination kiln: qualified dolomite is added into the silo, to ensure accurate and quantitative feeding by the feeder, and to ensure that the dolomite does not return or leak after entering the kiln.
3. Supporting roller process of dolomite clcination kiln: it ensures the normal operation of the kiln body, and the upward and downward movement of the kiln is within the required range, so as to ensure the normal supply of cooling water for the supporting roller. The temperature of the roller bearing is not more than 60°C, and the temperature of the deceleration bearing is not more than 80°C.
4. Kiln head stoker process of dolomite clcination kiln: it adjusts the pressure and flow of gas (or heavy oil) and air, observes whether the running state of materials in the kiln is normal, and controls the flame length and kiln temperature.
5. Instrumentation process of dolomite calcination kiln: it measures and records the pressure and flow of gas (or heavy oil) and air, kiln head and kiln tail temperature, and adjusts the exhaust gas pressure.
6. Conveying process of dolomite calcination: the qualified calcined dolomite enters the silo, and the unqualified calcined dolomite will be stacked separately.

A new PLC automatic control system is added to the configuration of the dolomite calcination kiln, which can monitor the temperature in the kiln body and complete the automatic calcination operation through the computer, and it has easier and smarter operation. In the production, the heat source can be fully utilized to reduce the loss of hot air. The transmission device rotates the cylinder according to the specified operating parameters through the gear ring located in the middle of the cylinder. The processing work can be completed with high quality and quantity. The processing capacity is strong and stable, and high-yield operation is realized.
The calcination technology has been strictly controlled in the design of the dolomite calcination kiln. Reliable kiln tail and kiln head sealing devices are installed at the feed end and discharge end of the cylinder, and noise reduction and dust removal equipment are installed to reduce the flying of smoke and dust, and noise during operation. In line with the environmental protection regulations of the production site, and a variety of raw materials such as electricity, gas and coal can be used as heat sources.
